One of my favorite things about astrology is seeing how it manifests in the charts of actors and the characters that they play. In my experience actors tend to choose roles that are similar to their own natal chart experience. If you check the filmography of famous well known actors you start to see a thematic pattern that’s usually backed up by their astrology. The characters that an actor is most known for is typically in line with the actor’s life story. Take for example Aries Robert Downey Jr. & Tony Stark/Iron Man (a role he will be known for for the rest of his life).
Robert/Tony – Born into privilege, lived a bad boy lifestyle until it caught up with them and then through crisis managed to turn their lives around in order to lead and save the day.
Well, after watching episode 3 of the final season of Game of Thrones where the fan favorite Arya Stark showed the world what an incredible badass she is, I just had to take a look at the actress’s Maisie Williams’s chart to see what was going on with her to make Arya so significant and brilliant.

Aries Sun, Venus, Saturn in Aries: ruled by Mars in exacting Virgo.
Playing a character who is a fighter and warrior,dedicated to her craft and vengeance. In the books, Arya is a girl out of step with her time. Instead of pursuing needlepoint and other activities meant for women, Arya is drawn to fighting. We first meet her in the show, expertly shooting a bulls-eye arrow over her little brother’s shoulder and receiving a rapier sword as a gift from her brother Jon. She names her pet direwolf Nymeria after the ancient Rhoynish warrior Princess who transported her people from Rhoyne to Dorne after the Valyrians conquered their lands with dragon-fire, and then prepares to leave Kingslanding to begin her Hero’s Journey.
To say Maisie was meant for this role, with her chart, would be an understatement.
Aries is the sign of the Warrior, the Fighter, the Leader. The sign is often put into positions that require them to prove themselves. Like a seed bursting through the dark frozen earth at the beginning of Spring, Aries must be put under pressure and learn the value of their own strength and their ability to act swiftly and directly with confidence.
With a Mars in Virgo ruling her Aries planets, Maisie lives for the art of practice and that’s what we see Arya doing in this show. She goes from one teacher to the next, patiently practicing and honing her skills with dedication. Arya even goes into service at the House of Black and White, another Virgo ruled art. Working for others, serving something greater than herself , showing up everyday for the grind and the vicious beatings the Waif clocks her with each time they train.
Her craftsmanship is finely honed through daily practice even when she’s not with a teacher. Note the times we see her lunging and parrying alone, going over her water dancing steps over and over until it’s second nature.
Touched by Neptune
Maisie, like most actors has Neptune in spades with a fairly tight aspect to her luminaries (Sun & Moon and Venus). Neptune loosens our boundaries and allows us to dissolve into another world or state of being. It’s perfect for fantasy, make believe & channeling. It’s also a signature planet in the charts of healers, intuitives and psychics who need to perceive beyond their reality to get to the root of a matter.
It comes in handy for actors who have to let go of one persona so that they can slip into another and live within another character and their world while making it believable for the audience. The downside to Neptune in this regard is losing oneself in the roles being played and constantly looking for escapes that can come in the form of drugs, alcohol, unhealthy relationships where too little boundaries leave them open to being deceived and taken advantage of.
In the books, Arya goes one step further with Neptune by being able to warg or slip into the consciousness of her Direwolf, Nymeria, going so far as to control the wolf remotely via her dreams. Neptune appears again in Arya’s experience with the Faceless Men of the House of Black & White where she’s trained to be an assassin who is “No One” that that can trade faces and Identities in order to kill her targets. Arya is also introduced to another Neptune fixture: poison, an element that she uses to great effect in later episodes.

A Proud Moon In Leo
Her Moon is in the sign of the performer, Leo, showing a need to feel proud of oneself, honored, celebrated and creative. Interesting that Arya does in fact become a performer of sorts when she begins her journey as a spy and assassin, playing different parts to get close to her targets.
In fact Arya plays a number of roles and has quite a few alias such as: Arry, Lumpyface, Stick boy, Rabbit Killer, Wolf Girl, Cat of Canals, Blind Beth, Mercy, Nymeria & Weasel.
Leo Moons may have a sense of pride in their families and where they come from and Arya is no different. Throughout the show we are constantly reminded of the pride House Stark has in its family and their way of life with creative mantras like “The Lone Wolf Dies but the Pack Survives” to remind them of their roots and loyalty to each other during good times and bad. It’s an interesting motto that Arya has to return to after a very solitary journey after her pack is murdered and decimated during the ongoing bloody Game of Thrones. For her chart it was meant to be, Aries and Leos have an independent streak that allows them to strike out on their own with confidence or at least foolhardiness.
When she completes her training she proudly proclaims “A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I’m going home.”
A Date with Destiny

Unfortunately we don’t have a birthtime for Maisie, but we do have the chart of the night Game of Thrones premiered for the first time.

2 days after Maisie’s 14th birthday (an age when she experienced a Saturn opposition, taking on the challenge of responsibility & hard work) the chart features a massive stellium of Aries planets, a fanciful Neptune in Pisces awakening an new age of fantasy epics + a Moon & Saturn in Libra all in a T-Square with Pluto in Capricorn. What better chart for a show based on war, bloodshed, leadership, diplomacy, and power struggles! That day, the Nodes were at 25 degrees of Sagittarius, squaring Maisie’s own Nodes of Fate at 28° Virgo-Pisces, pushing her towards her destiny to play the role she’ll most likely be known for for the rest of her life. And how fitting for a badass Aries like Maisie to play the deadliest assassin in Westeros.
The night “The Battle of Winterfell” aired, Maisie’s Aries planets we’re getting yet another wave of fated energy from the Cancer/Capricorn Nodes of Fate. The Cardinal Axis is the World Axis and so notable and world changing events tend to occur during this sensitive time. In Maisie’s and Arya’s case they have solidified themselves in the entertainment zeitgeist all around the world as millions of people watched and celebrated the culmination of her 7 years of brutal training in the most spectacular way imaginable. As I type this there is currently #TheAryaChallenge with people recreating her signature hand switch, there are murals being painted and her name trended for about 4 days straight on social media. It’s doubtful that Arya will ever be forgotten after this show is finished and she’ll like be loved and honored for the future generations to come.
The Original Warrior Princess
Special shout out to my first warrior Princess: Lucy Lawless, the original Xena. Interestingly enough these two actresses have very similar charts. Lucy is also an Aries Stellium with her Mars in earthy Taurus as opposed to Virgo like Maisie. Perhaps that Mars placement speaks to Xena’s sturdier frame and heavier weapons, similar to Brienne of Tarth. Not to mention her signature warrior cry that we all can probably mimic right now from memory. Unsurprisingly the show that marked her career premiered when the Nodes of Fate we’re inverse to her own, marking a fated path of destiny playing a warrior seeking to bring peace and justice to her people via battle. Xena went off the air in 2001 after a 6 year run on the air as went into syndication where you may still find an episode airing today somewhere in the world and I’m sure Game of Thrones will have a similar place in our entertainment zeitgeist.
Still we celebrate both of these women for showing us all what it means to be a woman who can literally slay.
