By now we’re beginning to feel the nodal energy starting to slow down from the frenetic information heavy axis of Gemini and Sagittarius to the more plodding and deliberate vibe of Taurus and Scorpio.
After 18 months of living in the realm of fiery and airy words, philosophies and ideas — much of it being nothing but “hot air”, empty promises or straight up propaganda –, we turn our attention to what those conversations and beliefs look like when manifested in the material world.
Elementally speaking, where air & fire signs like Gemini & Sagittarius are intangible & somewhat beyond human grasp, the earth and water of Taurus & Scorpio are much heavier, denser and harder to move without sustained effort. We’re moving into the “put up or shut up” days that will challenge us to show up and put our money where our mouth is.
So consider what you’re ready to commit to going forward & how you’re going to create space by throwing away outdated, cluttering junk in all its forms so that this new way can put down roots.
Funnily enough I’ve been seeing stories on my Twitter timeline about people moving from one location to another (often not very far in distance) but are overwhelmed and astounded by how much stuff they’ve accumulated! How many projects have been left unfinished & forgotten, odds and ends taking up room and collecting dust. And guess what, that’s okay, that’s exactly where we’re meant to be at the moment; surveying our world and saying…Ick, I don’t think I like this anymore.
Before you give into the urge to burn it all down, Scorpio style, acknowledge how far you’ve come and that you can build back better and wiser this time around. We can learn from our mistakes without slicing ourselves to shreds with judgement and self rejection. We all have a shadow and we’re going to learn that we don’t have to smother it in order to be considered decent human beings.
We’re not going to race through this part of our story. Remember that Taurus as a fixed Venusian sign wants us to savor every moment, to indulge and honor our material existence, while Scorpio asks us to look under the surface as to why we want what we want. Desire and lust are powerful magnets when used as tools, so why not visualize a little and see what stirs your heart or loins with longing.
We’re slowing down, which is important when inspecting the foundation of your life. It’s best not to rush or else be forced to come back with a demolition team to start all over again. While we pass through these Eclipses I want you all to take extra care:
1. No rituals. Eclipse energy is too wild and chaotic to infuse into spells, crystals, charms or other intentions. Just let it pass over you and see what arises. If you feel inclined towards prayer or meditation, do so.
2. Physical self care: As noted above, these particular Eclipses are very physical so drink your water, stretch & go to bed when you’re tired and spent, because chances are that you’re more run down than you thought.
3. Keep your diet “light” and skip the heavier, greasier foods that are harder to process. Scorpio is the sign associated with organs and systems that dispose of waste, so think of foods and dishes that will help facilitate that cleansing process. You may want to pack extra leftovers this holiday instead of going back for seconds and thirds; your bowels will thank you.
4. Take a salt bath or two, enjoy a good soak, let your body open up and release.
5. Be gentle as your body expresses whatever is lingering underneath the surface; acne, rashes, allergic reactions, sweating, bowel movements and emoting are to be expected. Remember that you’re making space, so things have to move out first.
6. Secrets and shadows tend to come to light; better they be in your line of sight than in the dark festering behind the scenes. This is a “better-out-than-in” kind of energy.
7. Watch for swellings and flooding; this is a good time to check the foundation of your home and the unseen pipes and mechanisms that keep it running smoothly.
8.Patch up those holes too, because all sorts of creepy crawlies and vermin will be making themselves known if given the chance.
We’re just getting started, so breathe. When passing through a shadow we always come out into the light eventually. Be kind, be gentle, be sensuous and grateful for all that you have while blessing what you want to release.
Wishing you a very illuminating eclipse season!
